2017, Tajikistan, Murghab
Murghab is the most surreal town I have ever seen, located in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by high arid desert with looming mountains ringing the horizon. Brown and white houses with blue window frames and doors, endless electrical lines, but no electricity. Wind, sand, solitude and a sun so bright it hurts my eyes. There are only a few people on the streets. It seems this city just survived an apocalypse.
